Here’s how Reddit says freelancers should get writing clients…
“Word of mouth and networking.”
“Just build a niche WordPress website in a subject you are passionate about - use this as a portfolio. Or write on other random platforms like Medium I guess.”
“I have had exactly 2 success stories on websites. Both were Upwork. One guy tried to stiff me. The other gave me a decent rating, but there no follow-up.”
Upwork.
Word of mouth.
…And networking
Not saying these won’t work, but…
They’ll be time intensive.
Would you find it helpful if I brought in a guest who built a 6-figure freelance biz while traveling the world as a digital nomad and…
…Got all his clients from cold email?
No Chamber of Commerce mixers.
No “Do you know anyone else who could use my service?”
And no copy and pasting “I’ve read your project description and I’d be perfect for this job” into fifty-eleven job listings a day.
I was thinking about bringing him in next week.
Thoughts?
In your corner,
