Happy Tuesday! 👋
Last week was a tough one for me. My articles weren’t getting a lot of traffic. My sales on eBay slowed down drastically. In general, I was earning less income from my side hustles for what seemed like the same amount of work.
Sadly, I blamed everything around me: “I’m earning less money because gas is so high. Prices for used items are too high, I can’t make enough profit. My neighbor’s dog is too loud, I can’t concentrate on writing.”
Not only were those thoughts simply untrue, but they were also extremely counter-productive. After realizing this, I finally took action and made changes.
I walked to a yard sale last weekend to save on gas AND find cheaper goods. I wrote articles late at night when my neighbor’s dog was asleep.
My advice from all this: The world is a wild place right now, but that doesn’t mean you have to get caught up in it. Take a step back, breathe and try to look at your situation from a different angle. It truly can make a huge benefit.
But enough of me, let’s dive into the newsletter.

eBay BOLO
Selling items for parts
I’m a massive fan of selling electronics for parts on eBay. It’s amazing because that broken electronic (DVD player, phone, gaming system) can still be worth a lot of money.
Actually, the only way I’ll buy an electronic item from a thrift store or garage sale is if I’m selling it for parts. Most times, I won’t even check to see if it works. I just check to see what it sells for as Parts Only and list it that way. Bonus points if the buyer gets it and it actually works.
Check the sold listings on eBay for broken electronics you have at home. You might be surprised about what you find.
