My first 20k week from info products
“I’ll never go back to freelancing” was my first thought when I saw the numbers.
James here.
Back in 2010-ish I put out a little info product with a partner…
… We did 20k in a week…
… added over 2,000 buyers to each of our email lists…
… and other people sent us 99% of the sales.
It was my escape from $500 freelance copywriting gigs.
Here’s how it went down:
My partner at the time, and I, had both done a few gigs for local businesses.
We weren’t gurus BUT we had done something…
…Putting us a step ahead of most…
(1 or 2 steps ahead is all you need to be.)
We took our experiences, created some ‘how to’ PDFs/videos, wrote a quick sales letter, and added an affiliate program.
My partner and I could only make a few sales on our own.
Luckily?…
A few sales was all we needed.
The handful of people we sent to our sales page converted well.
#Blessed #WeBarelyKnewWhatWeWereDoing
Armed with a 20%+ conversion rate…
(Fuzzy memory but I think 4 out of 20 people bought?)
We posted our “launch” in a couple Skype groups then…
… started messaging anyone we knew had a buyers list.
To be clear here.
(Might wanna write this down.)
We messaged people we knew had buyer lists…
…These weren’t people we knew personally…
This was cold DMing.
And it worked.
Over the week people started mailing their lists…
Marketers saw other marketers promoting…
…Which increased the hype…
…Which increased the conversion rate…
…Which got other affiliates to mail.
Before we knew it?
A week had flown by and…
We’d done 20k in sales.
How does any of this help you?
Everything I’m talking about is not only doable today…
… It’s easier (especially tech wise).
If you know how to pick a profitable niche?
You can create a product that solves a pain point.
And get other people to sell it for you.
You don’t have to have an audience of your own…
…Or be a world class copywriter…
You just need a solution to a problem.
(Doesn’t even have to be YOUR solution).
Also - be smarter than I was.
When you create a winning offer - don’t let it die to create something else.
1 info product is all you need to create the life you want.
In your corner,
James Foster
PS - Friday I showed VIPs how to pick a niche like the one that made 20k in a week.
You can see how to pick a profitable niche here.
I can’t promise you’ll do 20k with one of these niches, but…
It’s a heckuva lot more likely than putting out an info product about a hobby (like gardening or playing an instrument).
