I Challenge You
It amazes me the amount of money 1 person can make with Print On Demand products.
… without pre-paying for inventory or storage fees…
(The slow, silent, killer of most ecom businesses.)
… without ads…
(Amazon and other marketplaces WANT to show and sell your products.)
…and without Photoshop skills or hiring designers…
(If you can type, copy, and paste? You have all the skills you need.)
James here.
Monday I sent you a handful of ugly POD products selling hundreds or thousands of units a month.
…And it’s not even the holidays yet.
Today?
To show you how simple it is to come up with POD product ideas…
… and show how many monthly sales a single, simple and ugly product can make…
I’ve got a fun and quick challenge for you.
Go shopping!
1 - Head over to Amazon
2 - Search: “Gifts for women” (or mom, dad, wife, girlfriend, husband, boyfriend, etc.)
3 - Make a list of the sayings on the products with text and how many units they sell a month
(Almost all these products with clever phrases are POD.)
I’ll be shocked if you don’t have a list of a half-dozen or more phrases and sayings within 10 minutes.
I’ll be even more shocked if those phrases don’t combine to be at least 5k units sold a month.
Once you have a list?
Comment below, or reply to this email, with how many products you found!
Let’s see who can find the most:-)
Ready? Go.
Want Bonus Points that could make you heaps of dinero?
For all the products you find think about 3 things:
1 - Could the phrase be put on other products?
If it’s on a candle - would it work on a teddy bear? Or pillowcase? Or keychain?
With POD it costs us nothing to try the phrase on multiple products and see which sells best.
2 - Who else could the phrase be about with minor changes?
Can you change Mom to Grandma? Grandpa? Or Dad?
Can it be changed to a different profession or group? Nurses? Dog lovers? Maybe pet breeds?
3 - What’s the sentiment being conveyed?
Monday’s email showed a candle selling 4k units a month that said “I wish you lived next door”.
The sentiment is that the giver wishes to see the receiver more. And/or wishes they were closer.
Can you (or AI) come up with a different analogy to express the same sentiment?
If you can?
You might’ve just thunk up a new, passive, cash creating POD asset.
In your corner,
James Foster
PS - The Holiday Shopping Season is right around the corner and Amazon needs a little time to rank your POD products…
If you want a slice of the $957 Billion expected to be spent this year?...
…With almost no risk (we’re not out any money of a design doesn’t sell)…
